Privacy Policy
This is an informational website about the VidMate app. We collect as little data as possible, and this policy explains what that means in practice.
What we collect
Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting keeps basic server logs — things like the pages requested, the time of the request, and rough technical details such as browser type. These logs are used for keeping the site running and spotting abuse. They are not used to build profiles of visitors.
Community discussions. If you post in the on-site community discussions, whatever you write there is public by design. Don't post personal information you wouldn't want strangers to see. We may remove posts that contain personal data, spam, or abuse.
What we don't collect. We don't run accounts, so there are no usernames or passwords to store. We don't ask for your email address. We don't sell, rent, or share visitor data with third parties for marketing.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for the site to function — for example, remembering basic display preferences. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies ourselves. If embedded third-party content ever appears on the site, that content may set its own cookies under its own policy, and we'll note it here if it happens.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand which guides people read, so we know what to improve. This means counts of page views, not tracking of individuals across the web.
Your rights
If you've posted in the community discussions and want a post edited or removed, ask in the discussions and we'll handle it. Since we don't hold accounts or email lists, there's no account data to export or delete beyond public posts.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and note the change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
